PODGORICA (Montenegro), March 5 (SeeNews) – The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro rose to 344.7 million euro ($383.9 million) in 2019, from 322.5 million euro in the prior year, the central bank said, citing preliminary figures.
Total FDI inflow decreased to 770 million euro in 2019 from 858.1 million euro in 2018, while FDI outflow declined to 425.2 million euro from 535.6 million euro, the central bank said.
The inflow of investments in companies and banks fell to 242.3 million euro in the period under review, from 337.3 million euro a year earlier, while investments in real estate went down to 170 million euro from 182.6 million euro.
FDI inflow in the form of intercompany lending increased to 321.7 million euro in 2019, from 300.1 million euro in 2018.
