PODGORICA (Montenegro), January 25 (SeeNews) – The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Montenegro fell to 303.6 million euro ($344 million) in the first eleven months of 2018, from 390.8 million euro in the prior-year period, the central bank said, citing preliminary figures.
Total FDI inflow rose to 747.6 million euro in the first eleven months of 2018 from 535 million euro in January-November 2017, while FDI outflow grew to 444 million euro from 144.3 million euro, the central bank said.
The inflow of investments in companies and banks rose to 289.1 million euro in the period under review, from 152.8 million euro a year earlier, while investments in real estate grew 22.1% on the year to 161.7 million euro.
FDI inflow in the form of intercompany lending rose to 276 million euro in January-November, from 215.7 million euro in the like period of 2017.
The net inflow of FDI into Montenegro rose to 474.3 million euro in 2017, from 371.6 million euro in the previous year.
