May 10 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's farming company ZK Pelagonija [MSE:ZPKO] said that it made a net profit of 258.8 million denars ($5.1 million/4.2 million euro) in the first quarter of 2021, after booking a 32.8 million denars net loss in the same period last year.
ZK Pelagonija's total operating revenue surged to 515 million denars in the first three months of 2021, compared with 144.3 million denars recorded a year earlier, the company said in a financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse last week.
Domestic sales nearly doubled to 126.7 million denars in the quarter under review from 68 million denars in the first three months of 2020. The company did not generate revenue from sales abroad in the first quarter of 2021, after booking a revenue of 34.8 million denars from foreign markets in the same period of last year.
The company's operating expenses grew 9.4% year-on-year to 227.1 million denars in the three months through March.
