May 7 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's UNI Banka said that its net profit fell 25% on the year to 36.6 million denars ($715,000 million/591,700 million euro) in the first three months of the year.
UNI Banka's net interest income decreased by 11% year-on-year to 195.4 million denars, while net fee and commission income grew by 27% to 53.3 million denars, the bank said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse last week.
The bank's net impairment losses of financial assets totalled 80 million denars in the first quarter, up from 58.3 million denars reported in the same period of last year.
The lender's assets slightly increased to 23.9 billion denars at the end of March from 23.8 billion denars at the end of 2020.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks fell to 16.5 billion denars from 16.7 billion denars, while deposits from such customers rose to 19.6 billion denars at the end of March from 19.4 billion denars at the end of last year.
