May 3 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's UNI Banka [MSE:UNI] said that its net profit reached 132.1 million denars ($2.4 million/2.1 million euro) in the first three months of 2023, markedly higher from 44.4 million denars made in the same period a year earlier.
UNI Banka's net interest income increased by 22.8% year-on-year to 276.6 million denars, while net fee and commission income grew by 8.4% to 73.1 million denars, the bank said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse last week.
The lender's assets increased to 26.8 billion denars at the end of March from nearly 25.9 billion denars at the end of 2022.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks rose to 18.1 billion denars at the end of March from 18 billion denars at the end of last year, while deposits from such customers stood at 20.1 billion denars, up from 19.5 billion denars.
The bank's shares traded at an average price of 5,200 denars on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on Tuesday, latest bourse data shows.
