March 13 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based cigarette producer Tutunski Kombinat Prilep (TKP) [MSE:TKPR] said on Monday that its net profit went up 4% on the year in 2022, reaching 140.1 million denars ($2.4 million/2.3 million euro).
Total operating revenues decreased 23% on the year to 848.1 million denars, while operating costs dropped 11% to 905.2 million denars, the company said in an annual financial statement.
The tobacco producer increased its financial revenue 23% on an annual comparison basis in 2022, to 240.8 million denars. At the same time, financial expenses fell 17% on the year to 41.6 million denars last year.
Its shares have not traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) in the past year.
