August 14 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's TTK Banka [MSE:TTK] said on Friday that its net profit fell to 30.5 million denars ($584,229/494,299 euro) in the first half of 2020, from 56.7 million denars in the same period of last year, impacted by net trading losses.
The bank's net trading income was negative 4.8 million denars in the first half of this year, compared to positive 5.3 million denars in the corresponding period of 2019, it said in an interim financial statement.
Personnel expenses increased by 3.4% year-on-year to 81.7 million denars in the first six months of 2020, while other operating expenses rose by 3.2% to 65.5 million denars.
TTK Banka's net interest income rose to 135.2 million denars in the January-June period of 2020 from 131.8 million denars the year before, while net fee and commission income fell to 61 million denars from 65.6 million denars.
The bank's assets decreased to 8.4 billion denars at the end of June from 8.8 billion denars at the end of last year.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks slightly rose to 5.3 billion denars at the end of June from 5.1 billion denars at the end of 2019, while deposits from customers other than banks decreased to 6.9 billion denars from 7.1 billion denars.
