May 6 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Tehnokomerc [MSE:TEHN], a retailer of car spare parts, tires, batteries, construction machines and hydraulic hoses, said that it turned to a net profit of 23.6 million denars ($459,700/381,600 euro) in the first three months of 2021 from a 7.5 million denars loss in the like period a year earlier.
The company's first-quarter operating revenue was 137.8 million denars, up compared with 68.5 million denars booked in January-March of 2020, according to its interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse last week.
Most of the company's revenue, 121.2 million denars, was generated through sales on the domestic market. The company made 61.7 million denars in revenue from domestic sales in the first quarter of 2020.
Tehnokomerc's total operating costs totalled 112.7 million denars in the January-March period, compared to 74.4 million denars in the same period of 2020.
