July 28 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based Tehnokomerc [MSE:TEHN], a retailer of car spare parts, tires, batteries, construction machines and hydraulic hoses, said that it generated a net profit of 49.6 million denars ($950,700/805,400 euro) in the first half of 2021, compared with just 3 million denars booked in the same period last year.
The company's first-half operating revenue was 367.9 million denars, up compared with 240.7 million denars booked in the January-June period of 2020, according to its interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse on Tuesday.
Most of the company's revenue, 349.3 million denars, was generated through sales on the domestic market. The company made 233 million denars in revenue from domestic sales in the first half of 2020.
Revenue from sales abroad came in at 31,000 denars, compared with 6.7 million denars booked in the first six months of 2020.
Tehnokomerc's total operating costs totalled 308.3 million denars in the January-June period, compared to 235 million denars in the same period of 2020.
