March 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based Stopanska Banka Skopje [MSE:STB] said that its net profit fell to 1.96 billion denars ($38.4 million/31.9 million euro) in 2020 from 2.4 billion denars in 2019.
Net interest income rose 3% to 3.7 billion denars in 2020, whereas net fee and commission income dropped 11% to 738.6 million denars, the bank said in an annual financial statement last week.
Net financial asset impairment losses increased 26% year-on-year to 962.7 million denars in 2020. Net non-financial impairments turned to negative 3 million denars last year from positive 101.5 million denars the previous year.
Stopanska Banka Skopje's assets amounted to 105.98 billion denars at the end of the year, up from 99.7 billion denars at the end of 2019.
Loans and advances to clients other than banks rose to 71 billion denars at the end of December from 66.5 billion denars a year earlier, while deposits from customers other than banks increased to 86.6 billion denars from 82.8 billion denars.
Stopanska Banka Skopje's shares traded at an average price of 1,251 denars on the Skopje bourse on Friday.
