December 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said that the 47 million euro ($49.9 million) project for the construction of an expressway linking the eastern cities of Stip and Kocani has been completed.
The 13.5 km long Krupiste-Kocani section has been inaugurated, making the entire the 28 km road from Stip to Kocani operational, the government said in a press release earlier this week.
The project was implemented with a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), according to earlier reports.
The construction contractor of the Krupiste-Kocani section was China's Sinohydro. Bulgaria's Patinvest Engineering was in charge of the supervision works.
