SKOPJE (North Macedonia), March 20 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia's real net wage increased by 0.8% year-on-year in January, after growing by 7.2% in December, the national statistical office said on Wednesday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage in North Macedonia added 2.0% to 24,517 denars ($449.7/396.2 euro) in January, Makstat said in a statement.
The strongest annual wage growth in nominal terms, of 9.6%, was registered in the sector of health care and social work, followed by mining and quarrying with 8.3%.
On a monthly comparison basis, the average nominal net wage in North Macedonia fell by 4.8% in January.
