March 21 (SeeNews) - The real net wage in North Macedonia fell 3.3% year-on-year in January, after decreasing at the same annual rate in December, the national statistical office said on Tuesday.
In nominal terms, the average net wage added 13.2% on the year in January, reaching 33,943 denars ($592.2/549.6 euro), Makstat said in a statement.
The strongest annual wage growth in nominal terms - by 23.4% - was registered in the transportation and storage sector, followed by the construction sector with a rise of 20.9%.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage in North Macedonia went down 1.3% in January.
