SKOPJE (North Macedonia), July 19 (SeeNews) – The business confidence indicator in North Macedonia's retail sector in the second quarter edged down by 0.2 percentage points as compared to the previous quarter, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The second-quarter reading of the index was 0.4 pp higher compared to the value recorded in the same period of 2018, Makstat said in a quarterly survey conducted among local managers.
"The financial situation in the second quarter of 2019 is more favourable compared to the previous quarter of 2019. The expectations for the orders for the next period are that they will decrease as well as the number of the employees," the statistical office said.
The selling prices in the second quarter of 2019 have increased compared to the previous quarter, and they are expected to increase in the following three months.
