August 3 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's brewer and soft drinks producer Prilepska Pivarnica [MSE:PPIV] said its net profit fell 12% on the year in the first half of 2022, to 52.2 million denars ($860,886/844,905 euro).
Prilepska Pivarnica's operating revenue increased by an annual 9% to 826.8 million denars in the first half of 2022, while operating costs rose 13% to 831 million denars, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse earlier this week.
The company’s domestic sales revenue rose 8% on the year to 808 million denars. The revenue from exports grew 32% to 7.8 million denars.
Cost of goods sold went up 11% year-on-year to 153 million denars, while expenses for consumed materials rose to 356.8 million denars, up 15% on an annual comparison basis.
Prilepska Pivarnica was founded in 1924. It produces beer under the trademarks Zlaten Dab and Krali Marko and holds the licences for distributing Tuborg and Carlsberg brands in North Macedonia. It also produces carbonated non-alcoholic drinks, fruit nectar soft drinks and bottles the products of Pepsi Cola International.
