March 14 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian brewer and soft drinks producer Prilepska Pivarnica [MSE:PPIV] said on Thursday that its net profit fell by an annual 40% to 107.9 million denars ($2.0 million/1.8 million euro) in 2018.
The company's operating revenue rose 4% to 1.9 billion denars last year, Prilepska Pivarnica said in a financial statement.
Domestic sales increased 4% to 1.82 billion denars, while sales abroad remained flat at 24 million denars.
Total operating expenses grew 7% to 1.81 billion denars. Cost of goods sold added 12% to 358.2 million denars, while amortisation and depreciation costs rose 28% to 191 million denars.
Financial revenue declined 18% to 26.5 million denars, while financial expenses rose 23% to 3.6 million denars.
Prilepska Pivarnica was founded in 1924. It produces beer under the trademarks Zlaten Dab and Krali Marko and holds the licences for distributing Tuborg and Carlsberg brands in Macedonia. It also produces carbonated non-alcoholic drinks, fruit nectar soft drinks and bottles the products of Pepsi Cola International.
