May 10 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's mineral water and soft drinks producer Pelisterka [MSE:LOZP] said that it booked a net loss of 1.8 million denars ($19,600/16,100 euro) in the first quarter of 2021, after generating a net profit of 537,000 denars in the same period last year.
Total operating revenue rose by an annual 8.5% to 69.5 million denars in January-March, whereas operating expenses dropped 16.9% to 54.4 million denars, Pelisterka said in an interim financial statement.
Domestic sales added 4.9% year-on-year to 59 million denars in the January-March period, while sales from abroad rose to 10.5 million denars from 7.9 million denars.
The company increased its service costs to 14.2 million denars in the three months through March from 11.4 million denars in the like period a year earlier. Other expenditures jumped to 4.9 million denars from 693,000 denars in the first quarter of 2020.
