August 4 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's meat processing company Pekabesko AD Kadino Ilinden [MSE:PKB] said its consolidated net profit fell 19% year-on-year to 44.2 million denars ($729,704/716,825 euro) in the first half of 2022.
Pekabesko's operating revenue edged up 15% on the year in the first six months of 2022, reaching 2.5 billion denars, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse on Wednesday.
Domestic sales increased 16% in the first half of the year to 2.2 billion denars, while sales abroad rose 7% to 315 million denars.
The company's operating expenses went up 17% year-on-year to 2.5 billion denars in the period under review.
Pekabesko was established in 1979 as a state-owned company and privatised in 1991. The company is also active in the distribution of food and cigarettes.
