August 11 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Osiguruvanje Makedonija - Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) said that its net profit fell to 55 million denars ($1 million/891,159 euro) in the first half of 2020, from 57.1 million denars in the like period of 2019.
Osiguruvanje Makedonija's revenue edged up 0.6% year-on-year to 424 million denars in the January-June period, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse on Monday.
The insurer booked net earned premiums of 317.1 million denars in the review period, more than 308.8 million denars recorded in the same period of 2019.
The company's expenses rose 1.3% on the year to 371.5 million denars in the first six months of 2020.
Osiguruvanje Makedonija, set up as a state insurer in 1945, became part of Austria's Vienna Insurance Group in 2013.
