August 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's NLB Banka [MSE:TNB], part of Slovenian banking group Nova Ljubljanska Banka (NLB) said that its net profit rose 23.4% on the year to 1.4 billion denars ($23.2 million/2.7 million euro) in the first half of 2022.
The lender's net interest income increased 4.3% year-on-year to 1.5 billion denars in the period under review, NLB Banka said in an interim financial statement last week.
Net fee and commission income rose 3.6% on the year to 605.7 million denars in the January-June period.
NLB Banka also increased its net foreign exchange gains to 173.6 million denars in the first six months of 2022 from 101.6 million denars in the first half of 2021.
The bank's total assets decreased to 106.4 billion denars at the end of June from 107.7 billion denars at the end of last year.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks rose to 67.8 billion denars at the end of June from 65.6 billion denars at the end of 2021, while deposits from such customers decreased to 85.6 billion denars from 86.2 billion denars.
