February 4 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based lender NLB Banka [MSE:TNB] said that its net profit fell to 1.85 billion denars ($33.2 million/30.1 million euro) in 2019 from 2.12 billion denars the year before, due to lower income.
The bank's net interest income remained flat year-on-tear at 2.96 billion denars, while net fee and commission income added 55 million denars to 1.1 billion denars, NLB Banka said in an annual financial statement.
Net foreign exchange gains rose by 8.6 million denars to 188.5 million denars, while other operating income plunged to 185.8 million denars in 2019 from 670 million denars in 2018.
NLB Banka lowered its net financial asset impairments to 427.4 million denars from 655.4 million denars in 2018, while amortisation and depreciation costs decreased to 167.3 million denars from 201.4 million denars.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks rose to 54.7 billion denars at the end of last year from 51.5 billion denars a year earlier, while deposits from such customers grew to 72.3 billion denars from 66.4 billion denars.
The bank's total assets increased to 88.2 billion denars at the end of 2019 from 81.8 billion denars a year earlier.
