May 15 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian forwarding company Makosped [MSE:MKSD] said on Friday that its net profit surged to 3.3 million denars ($57.8 million/53.6 million euro) in the first quarter of 2020 from 914,000 denars posted in the same period a year earlier.
Operating revenue rose 30% year-on-year to 22.3 million denars in the period under review, the company said in a bourse filing.
Domestic market sales were flattish at 16.9 million denars, while sales abroad jumped to 3.9 million denars, compared with 164,000 denars booked in the same period last year.
Makosped's operating expenses totalled 19 million denars, up 9% on an annual comparison basis.
Makosped, established in 1946, offers transport and warehousing services.
The company's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange on May 7 at an average price of 200 denars.
