August 9 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based telecommunications group Makedonski Telekom [MSE:TEL] said on Friday that its net profit grew by an annual 8% to 880.8 million denars ($16.0 million/14.3 million euro) in the first half of 2019.
Makedonski Telekom's total operating revenue rose 3% year-on-year to 5.2 billion denars in the January-June period of 2019, the company said in a bourse filing on Thursday.
Domestic sales added 3% to 4.87 billion denars, while sales abroad fell 12% to 270.6 million denars.
The company's operating expenses remained unchanged year-on-year at 4.2 billion denars in the review period.
Expenses for hired services fell 4% on the year to 1.0 billion denars, while amortisation and depreciation costs added 2% to 1.2 billion denars.
Makedonski Telekom's increased by an annual 2% to 20.06 billion denars at the end of June.
