May 6 (SeeNews) - Liberty [MSE:RZLV], the North Macedonia-based unit of UK industrial and metals company Liberty House Group, said that it booked a first-quarter net loss of 12.4 million denars ($212,000/201,900 euro), compared to a profit of 129.8 million denars in the same period of 2021.
The company boosted its operating revenues in the January-March period to 3.1 billion denars, up 60% year-on-year, while its operating costs rose 61% to 3.1 billion denars, it said in a quarterly financial statement earlier this week.
Domestic sales gained 54% on the year to 556.2 million denars, while sales abroad added 61% to 2.6 billion denars in the quarter under review.
Liberty produces cold-rolled coils and sheets, galvanized and pre-painted coils, mainly for the general industry segment on the regional market. Liberty House Group acquired the Skopje-based company from Luxembourg-based steel producer ArcelorMittal in July 2019.
The company's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on April 18, when they switched hands at an average price of 65 denars.
