March 7 (SeeNews) - Liberty [MSE:RZLV], the North Macedonia-based unit of UK industrial and metals company Liberty House Group, said that it recorded a net loss of 944.6 million denars ($16.4 million/15.3 million euro) in 2022 after booking a net profit of 780.6 million denars a year earlier.
The company's operating revenues decreased 17% to 8.8 billion denars in 2022, whereas its operating costs fell 8% to 9.6 billion denars, it said in an annual financial statement last week.
Domestic sales lost 16% year-on-year, standing at 1.4 billion denars at the end of 2022, while sales abroad fell 21% to 7 billion denars.
Liberty produces cold-rolled coils and sheets, galvanized and pre-painted coils, mainly for the general industry segment on the regional market. Liberty House Group acquired the Skopje-based company from Luxembourg-based steel producer ArcelorMittal in July 2019.
The company's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on March 1, when they switched hands at an average price of 35 denars.
