January 13 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Fund for Innovation and Technology Development, FITR, said it signed a memorandum of cooperation with Komercijalna Banka [MSE:KMB] to ease access to funding for local micro, small and middle-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including startups.
Komercijalna Banka will provide financial, educational and mentoring support for companies that apply for a FITR grant or are self-financing their investment projects, the fund said in a statement earlier this week.
Last year, FITR signed similar cooperation agreements with local Stopanska Banka Skopje, Sparkasse Banka, Procredit Bank, Silk Road Bank, NLB Banka and UNI Banka.
The government established FITR in 2013 with the aim to encourage innovation by providing additional funding sources to companies.
