May 16 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian construction company Granit [MSE:GRNT] said that its non-consolidated net profit soared to 10.3 million denars ($187,000/167,000 euro) in the first quarter of 2019 from 469,000 denars in the like period of 2018.
The company's total operating revenue jumped 62% to 895.6 million denars in the first three months of the year, Granit said in an interim financial statement on Wednesday.
Domestic sales nearly tripled to 849.8 million denars in the review period from 290.1 million denars a year earlier.
Operating expenses increased 59% to 886.3 million denars, as expenses for hired services spiked 169% to 390.2 million denars.
Skopje-based Granit was established in 1952 and privatised in 1996. Its main activities include construction and rehabilitation of roads. The company owns several concrete and asphalt plants and stone quarries.
