November 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's construction company Granit [MSE:GRNT] said that it closed the first nine months of 2022 with a net profit of 82.7 million denars ($1.3 million/1.3 million euro), 22% lower compared with the same period of last year.
Total operating revenue rose 4% on the year in the nine months under review, reaching 3.4 billion denars, Granit said in an interim financial statement on Monday.
Domestic sales totalled 3.3 billion denars in the January-September period of 2022, up 3% year-on-year. Sales abroad rose to 7.4 million denars, from 3.1 million denars booked in the same period a year earlier.
Operating expenses increased 5% to 3.4 billion denars in the period under review.
Skopje-based Granit was established in 1952 and privatised in 1996. Its main activities include construction and rehabilitation of roads. The company owns several concrete and asphalt plants and stone quarries.
