SKOPJE (North Macedonia), September 7 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia's economy shrank by an estimated 12.7% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2020, after expanding by 0.2% in the previous quarter, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The country's gross domestic product (GDP) totalled 149.8 billion denars ($2.9 billion/2.4 billion euro) at current prices in the April-June period, the statistical office said in a statement.
Exports of goods and services fell by 32% in nominal terms in the review period, while imports decreased by 30.2%.
Household final consumption decreased by an estimated 9.9% in the second quarter of the year.
