November 20 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based confectionery maker Evropa [MSE:EVRO] said that its non-consolidated net profit dropped by an annual 64% to 35.2 million denars ($634,000/563,000 euro) in the first nine months of 2019.
Evropa's operating revenue fell 6% year-on-year to 525.3 million denars in the January-September period of the year, the company said in an interim financial statement.
Domestic sales declined 14% to 220.2 million denars, while sales abroad edged up 1% to 302.9 million denars.
The company's operating expenses rose 7% to 489.8 million denars in the review period.
Expenses for materials added 5% to 255 million denars, while expenses for hired services grew 36% to 41.4 million denars.
Evropa produces chocolates, wafers and candy and owns 10 confectionery stores in Macedonia, six of them in Skopje.
