August 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's confectionery producer Evropa [MSE:EVRO] said that its non-consolidated net profit decreased 4% year-on-year to 36.8 million denars($611,084/595,693 euro) in the first half of 2022.
Evropa's operating revenue rose 9% on the year to 411.4 million denars in the period under review, the company said in an interim financial statement last week.
Domestic sales decreased by 4% to 160.4 million denars, while sales abroad grew by 21% to 250.4 million denars.
The company's operating expenses rose by an annual 5% to 362.7 million denars in the first six months of the year, as expenses for materials added 14% to 208.4 million denars.
Evropa produces chocolates, wafers and candy. The company has 17 confectionery stores across the country.
