March 5 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's DS Smith Skopje, a unit of British packaging manufacturer DS Smith, said that it turned to a net profit of 28.9 million denars ($524,000/468,000 euro) in 2019 from a net loss of 44 million denars in 2018, backed by a rise in revenue.
DS Smith Skopje's operating revenue grew 17% to 856.3 million denars last year, supported by higher exports, the company said in an annual financial statement.
Domestic sales added 5% to 525.6 million denars in 2019, while sales abroad jumped 41% to 324.1 million denars.
The company's operating expenses increased 6% to 814.2 million denars.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, DS Smith is present in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
