October 27 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's DS Smith Skopje, a unit of British packaging manufacturer DS Smith, said on Thursday that its net profit totalled 45.7 million denars ($746,711/744,514 euro) in the first nine months of 2022, 78% higher compared with the same period a year earlier.
The company increased its operating costs by 53% year-on-year to 983.2 million denars in the January-September period, it said in an interim financial statement.
Total operating revenue grew 52% to 1 billion denars. Domestic sales added 50% year-on-year to 643.1 million denars, while sales abroad went up 55% to 367.5 million denars in the period under review.
Elsewhere in Southeast Europe, DS Smith is present in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Greece and Turkey.
