May 3 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Centralna Kooperativna Banka [MSE:CKB] said that its net profit soared 66.6% year-on-year to 16.7 million denars ($299,561/271,345 euro) in the first quarter of 2023.
The bank's first-quarter net interest income rose 10% on the year, to 74 million denars, while net fee and commission income grew 15.9% to 25.4 million denars, the bank said in an interim financial statement last week.
The bank's assets amounted to 10.96 billion denars at the end of March, lower than 11.17 billion denars at the end of 2022.
Loans and advances to customers other than banks inched up to 7.48 billion denars at the end of March from 7.43 billion denars at the end of last year, while deposits from customers other than banks fell to 9.2 billion denars from 9.4 billion denars.
The lender's shares last traded on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on January 5, when they switched hands at an average price of 450 denars.
