May 10 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's building materials producer Cementarnica Usje [MSE:USJE], a unit of Greek-based cement producer Titan, said that its net profit decreased by 5.1% year-on-year to 182.1 million denars ($3.6 million/2.9 million euro) in the first three months of 2021.
Cementarnica Usje's operating revenue came in at 924.8 million denars in the quarter under review, up 9.4% on an annual comparison basis, the company said in a bourse filing.
Domestic sales added 9.6% to 623.4 million denars, while sales on foreign markets rose by 24.3% at 272.9 million denars.
Operating expenses increased by 7.6% on the year to 699.9 million denars in the period under review, as costs for materials rose by 84.9% to 64.7 million denars.
Cementarnica Usje employs more than 250 people.
