May 11 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's central bank said it sold 7.72 billion denars ($132 million/125.2 million euro) worth of 35-day central bank (CB) bills at an auction on Wednesday, below its target.
The interest rate on the securities, which equals the central bank's monetary policy rate, was set at 1.75%, the central bank said in notice.
The central bank said earlier on Wednesday it decided to raise its policy rate by 0.25 percentage points (pp), to 1.75%, after raising it by 0.25 pp last month.
