September 20 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's central bank said it sold 10 billion denars ($173.7 million/162.4 million euro) worth of 42-day central bank (CB) bills at an auction on Wednesday, in line with plan.
The interest rate on the securities, which equals the central bank's monetary policy rate, was set at 6.30%, the central bank said in a statement.
North Macedonia's central bank said earlier on Wednesday it decided to raise its policy rate by 0.15 percentage points (pp), to 6.30%, as it continues to tighten monetary policy to bring down inflation.
