SKOPJE (North Macedonia), March 17 (SeeNews) – The business confidence indicator in North Macedonia's manufacturing sector added 2.2 percentage points year-on-year to 22.7 in February, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the business confidence index in manufacturing edged up 0.1 percentage points in February, Makstat said in a press release on the results of a survey conducted among local managers.
“The situation with the current volume of production orders in February 2020 is more favourable compared to the previous month, the expectations for the production volume for the next three months are less favourable, and the stocks of finish goods have increased slightly," the statistical office said.
The managers who participated in the survey expect the number of employees in the manufacturing sector to decrease in the following months.
