SKOPJE (North Macedonia), January 16 (SeeNews) – The business confidence indicator in North Macedonia's manufacturing sector added 1.8 percentage points year-on-year to 22.2 in December, the country's statistical office, Makstat, said on Thursday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the business confidence index in manufacturing edged up 0.1 percentage points in December, Makstat said in a statement on the results of a survey conducted among local managers.
“The situation with the current volume of production orders in December 2019 is more favourable compared to the previous month, as well as the expectations for the production volume for the next three months, while the stocks of finished goods have increased compared to November 2019," the statistical office said.
The managers who participated in the survey expect the number of employees in the manufacturing sector to increase over the following months.
