March 14 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in North Macedonia increased by 50.6% year-on-year to 390 in January, the statistical office said on Tuesday.
The estimated value of the construction projects covered by the building permits issued in January increased 33.6% on the year to 7.7 billion denars ($134 million/124.9 million euro), Makstat said in a statement.
Of the total number of permits, 169 were for new buildings, 131 were for civil engineering projects and 90 were for reconstruction projects.
Of the total, 182 permits were issued to private individuals.
During the review period, 677 dwellings were planned for construction, with a total usable floor area of 57,990 sq m.
