May 13 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's drawn-wire, metal products and vehicle manufacturer Brako will launch new production lines for wire products and road sweeping vehicles as part of a new investment cycle worth 10 million euro ($10.4 million), the government said on Friday.
The company will also invest in the construction of a photovoltaic power plant and a new office building, prime minister Dimitar Kovacevski said in a press release.
The new sweeping vehicle manufacturing line will produce the new GM720ze and GM955 models of the Green Machines brand of road cleaning vehicles, said Koco Angusev, president of the management board of Brako.
The photovoltaic power plant will have an installed capacity of 1.5 MW and will generate enough electricity to cover 40% of the company's needs, Angusev added.
Veles-based Brako manufactures a wide range of products including health mobility systems, metal accessories, conveyor belt systems, telecommunication equipment and equipment for hydro power plants. The company employs over 1,000 employees and has offices in Serbia, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and the US.
