March 24 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's construction company Beton Skopje [MSE:BESK] said that its non-consolidated net profit plunged 56.8% year-on-year to 13.3 million denars ($231,863/213,908 euro) in 2019.
Beton Skopje's operating revenue fell 40% to 1.33 billion denars last year, the company said in its 2019 annual financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse on Monday.
The company's operating expenses fell to 1.24 billion denars, down 40.8% compared with 2018.
The decrease was mainly due to a 57% drop in expenses for materials, to 265.8 million denars, and a 43.6% decrease in expenses for hired services, to 382.95 million denars.
Financial expenses decreased 31.2% to 42.58 million denars in 2019, while financial revenue rose 33.8% to 24.6 million denars.
Beton Skopje, founded in 1947, designs and builds houses, roads, bridges, tunnels, hydro systems and factories.
