September 12 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based construction company Beton Skopje [MSE:BESK] said that its consolidated net profit plunged by an annual 67% to 7 million denars ($124,000/113,000 euro) in the first half of 2019.
The company's operating revenue dropped 27% year-on-year to 579.8 million denars in the first six months of the year, Beton Skopje said in an interim financial statement.
Operating expenses fell 29% to 537.5 million denars, mostly due to lower expenses for materials and hired services.
Inventories fell to 75.3 million denars at the end of June from 114.6 million denars at the start of the year.
Beton Skopje, founded in 1947, designs and builds houses, roads, bridges, tunnels, hydro systems and factories.
