June 1 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based construction company Beton Skopje [MSE:BESK] said that its consolidated net profit surged to 6.2 million denars ($111,900/100,720 euro) in the first quarter of 2020 from 432,000 denars booked in the like period of 2019.
The company's operating revenue decreased by 29% year-on-year to 184 million denars in the January-March period, Beton Skopje said in a bourse filing last week.
Beton Skopje's operating expenses fell 28.5% on the year to 164.7 million denars. Personnel costs decreased by 40% to 56.7 million denars, while expenses for materials dropped 37% to 31.6 million denars.
Beton Skopje, founded in 1947, designs and builds houses, roads, bridges, tunnels, hydro systems and factories.
