SKOPJE (North Macedonia), July 8 (SeeNews) – North Macedonia's consumer prices rose 0.3% year-on-year in June, after increasing 1.4% in the previous month, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight of 38% in the consumer basket, remained unchanged in June, after growing 2.3% in May, the statistical office said in a statement.
The prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, which have the second-largest weight of 13%, edged down 0.2% in June after falling 0.1% in the prior month.
Prices in the transport segment, with 8.7% weight in the consumer basket, fell 1.1% in June, following an increase of 1.0% in the previous month.
On a monthly comparison basis, North Macedonia's consumer prices fell 1.1% in June, after adding 0.5% in May.
