March 3 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] plans to distribute a gross dividend of 490 denars ($8.4/8 euro) per share for 2022, it said on Friday.
The company's shareholders will vote on the proposed dividend distribution at an annual meeting scheduled for April 3, Alkaloid said in a bourse filing.
The planned dividend payout is higher than the gross dividend of 440 denars per share the company distributed for 2021.
The drug maker's consolidated net profit grew by an annual 12% year-on-year to 1.46 billion denars in 2022.
Alkaloid's shares traded at an average price of 17,997 denars on the stock exchange in Skopje on Thursday, according to the most recent data available from the bourse.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia and 19 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Romania, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the U.S. and the UK.
The company employs 2,015 people in North Macedonia and 602 in its subsidiaries outside the country.
