March 5 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] plans to distribute a gross dividend of 400 denars ($7.8/6.5 euro) per share for 2020, it said on Friday.
The company's shareholders will vote on the proposed dividend distribution at an annual meeting scheduled for April 5, Alkaloid said in a bourse filing.
The planned dividend payout is higher than the gross dividend of 360 denars per share the company distributed for 2019.
The drug maker's consolidated net profit grew by an annual 15% to 1.2 billion denars in 2020.
Alkaloid's shares traded at an average price of 14,457.80 denars on the stock exchange in Skopje on Thursday, according to the most recent data available from the bourse.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia and 17 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the US and the UK.
The company employs 1,832 people in North Macedonia and 539 in its subsidiaries outside the country.
