June 29 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's pharmaceuticals producer Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said on Wednesday it has opened a new warehouse worth 1.3 million euro ($1.37 million) for storage of pharmaceutical raw materials and primary packaging.
The facility, spanning across 1,620 sq m, includes a refrigerated basement for storage of raw materials, office area and a technical floor, Alkaloid said in a press release.
The warehouse has the capacity to store 800 pallets of raw materials and employs 120 people.
The construction of the warehouse took 15 months.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in North Macedonia and 18 subsidiaries and two representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the US and the UK.
Its shares traded at an average price of 16,747 denars on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) on Tuesday, according to the latest bourse data available.
