July 23 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian drug maker Alkaloid [MSE:ALK] said that it has increased the capital of its wholly-owned Slovenian subsidiary Alka-Lab, investing 400,000 euro ($447,000) in the company.
Alka-Lab will use the funds to expand the capacity of its drug testing laboratory, Alkaloid said in a bourse filing last week.
Alkaloid has two subsidiaries in Macedonia, as well as 16 subsidiaries and three representative offices abroad - in Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, and the US.
Alkaloid employs 1,580 people in Macedonia and 420 people in its subsidiaries outside the country.
