May 21 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based oil refinery Okta [MSE:OKTA] said that it turned to a net profit of 23.7 million denars ($430,000/385,000 euro) in the first quarter of 2019 from a net loss of 41.3 million denars in the same period of 2018.
Okta's sales revenue rose by an annual 8% to 5.61 billion denars in the January-March period of 2019, the company said in an interim financial statement last week.
Domestic market sales edged up 1% to 4.60 billion denars, while sales abroad soared 52% to 1.01 billion denars.
Cost of goods sold increased 7% to 5.38 billion denars.
Okta, a member of the Hellenic Petroleum Group, owns crude oil refining facilities with nameplate capacity of 2.5 million metric tons and storage facilities with total capacity of 350 million liters.
